I had a user phone me claiming she had a very slow network. Given that every computer in our office was on the same network, and my internet was working fine I assumed something was fishy. I went to the laptop that she was working on and went straight to the task manager. Internet Explorer was frozen and was using 100% of the processor for some time. I went to restart when I realized the computer was burning hot. I though the fan had failed. I put my hand on the fan vent to see if air was flowing. When I removed my hand I had melted chocolate on it. The entire fan grill was filled with melted chocolate causing the laptop to nearly fry itself with heat. I proceeded to scrape the chocolate out of the grill. When I asked the user about how chocolate got into the laptop she say "I guess I should not put the laptop in that part of the kitchen again". I did not ask anymore questions.
