Funny and Humorous Technical Support Tales and Stories

Today I had to replace the battery in my wireless mouse, which had died. Upon observing me doing this, my Mom said that she didn't know how she could use her mouse for so long and never need to replace the battery. I said to her, "Mom, your mouse is corded...". She looked at her mouse(she was at her desk at the time) and said, "Oh. Never mind!".

I am a volunteer for a git hosting site. We got this email one time from a network administrator, and I thought it was funny. (Names censored to protect the guilty and the innocent.)

We are trying to ftp to your site>somegithost/r/ with no luck on accessing the files. (ftp.somegithost/r/ does not work.

(Note: Git can use HTTP, SSH or its own protocol for transfer. You need the right client though!)
