I was talking to a client that got an error when launching our software over the network: The shortcut is pointing to a location that is no longer available.
I told the client that this indicates that her computer lost connection to the network. Asked her to shut down her computer, then reboot the server. Once the server comes up, then boot up her computer then try again.
She did that and it's still a problem. I told her to reboot the router. She doesn't know how to do that. I asked her to contact her IT tech.
Her tech said that it's OUR problem. So now she wants to talk to someone else in our company. Huh? How is her not being able to get to the server OUR software problem?
