Funny and Humorous Technical Support Tales and Stories

Telling this one on myself.

Turned on my laptop (it's on a docking station so that all the peripherals are hooked up to the proper USB port - a couple of them won't run without a reinstall if you move the cable from one port to another port).

The volume is really tinny and far away sounding - so I am using the Start Bar to adjust the settings...nothing makes it easy to hear.

Look at the side of the computer and the speakers aren't plugged in - the headset is....and the volume on the headset has been turned down...

If I'd been wearing the headset, I'd have been fine or if I had unplugged them the night before and plugged in the speaker bar, I'd have been fine.

But getting to bed late and getting right on the computer without checking which was plugged in....makes me feel rather silly.
